Life School perform at Covenant Place of Waxahachie.

On December 5th at 10 AM the 8th/9th grade band on December 12th at 2 PM the 8th Grade and High Schools Choirs from Life School Red Oak under the direction of Dr. Skip Redd performed their holiday songs for Covenant Place of Waxahachie. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their abilities while connecting the generations. The community involvement allowed the students to perform beyond the formal concert setting and just rehearsing in the classroom. Selections included Holiday Classics like Sleigh Ride, Carol of the Bells, and Do You Hear What I Hear, along with popular songs such as Jingle Bell Rock, Let It Snow, All I Want For Christmas Is You, and Grown Up Christmas List, and many more.

Victoria Apolinar said “I think we sounded better at the performance than at school campus practice.” Several students shared that a highlight was during Feliz Navidad when they went into the audience and shook their hands. Alyssa Butler enjoyed how “the little old lady by herself was singing with us.” Other students commented how much fun it was to perform away from school.
