Kim Riepe- Principal-  Life High School Waxahachie

Kim RiepeI am indeed honored to be appointed as Principal of Life High School Waxahachie. I feel truly blessed to be the principal of such an amazing school and to be back with some of the students that I was with when I was an assistant principal at LSRO. Most recently I served as principal of Life Middle School Waxahachie, and for 3 years prior I was the principal at Life School Mountain Creek Elementary. I have also served at Life School Red Oak as an assistant principal and 6th grade teacher.

This year is going to be a great year as we continue to focus on the whole student, not just academics.  The district will be introducing to you the Leader Profile which consists of 15 attributes we feel all of our students should exhibit in order to be successful adults. You will see these referenced throughout the year in newsletters, leadership breakfasts, and school events.

At Life High School Waxahachie we are ONE! Mustangs Own it, Never quit, and Encourage one another.  It is my desire that all of our students have that feeling that they are a part of a family and that they belong. To further exemplify that spirit we need all of our students to get involved. We have many activities, sports, organizations, and clubs for students that appeal to a wide array of interests so students should find something to meet their interests/needs.

Parents, we invite you to take an active role in your student’s high school career. You are a special and unique part of our learning community. Collaboration with your student’s teacher is a main ingredient to a successful home-school partnership throughout the year. Parent involvement is an important aspect of every child's education and is the primary factor in a student's success in school.  Please sign up for a Parent Portal account so you will have real time access to your student’s grades and attendance record. If you need assistance with this, you may contact the campus registrar, Beth Vitale, at 469-708-4444. Another way to stay informed and involved is by signing up for my Remind Account where I will send out information periodically throughout the school year. You can sign up by texting the message @lhswparent to 81010.

This year will be another great year to be a Mustang!
